  • Catholic Church Mary Goddess Worship

Is the praise that the Catholic Church gives to Mary hold up to scripture? Mary is worshipped as a goddess by the catholic community, however surprising little is said about Mary in the Bible. According to the Catholic Church, they have declared dogmas of Mary elevating her to goddess (don’t believe me, click on the links all from Catholic sources). Let’s examine

    Mary Overview

I have looked at all the 6 Mary Dogmas

So stepping back a bit, what is going on? Why such a fascination with Mary and where is all this going?

First they declare Mary "Mother of God", and then suggest her purity by saying she is virgin always (not that makes her pure or impure) and then say she is sinless, and then she is in heaven sitting on right hand of Christ, being our mother is active in our salvation. This is plainly pagan goddess worship where she now has the attributes of Jesus Christ. Consider the following
    • Mary is has title of "full of grace" twisted from the term "highly favoured" (Luke 1:28) which is a term attributed to Jesus (John 1:14)
    • Mary is claimed to be "sinless" by the dogma of Immaculate Conception
Mary even has the title of "Queen of Heaven" which the bible clearly shows to be pagan worship (Jeremiah 7:18).

Think about it. How can so much dogma come from Catholic Church where so little is mentioned in the bible? Also consider Jesus never calls Mary mother, instead calls her "Woman"? Goddess worship is pagan and widespread throughout the pagan religions, below lists just a few examples.
    • Egyptian goddess Isis
    • Greek-Roman goddesses Aphrodite, Urania and Venus
    • Pre-Islamic worship of Allah and her daughters "Uzza, al-Manat and al-Lat"
    • Canaanite goddess Astarte
    • Assyro-Babylonian goddesses Ishtar
    • Germanic goddesses Freyja
    • Hindu goddess Durga
To see the extent of the deception, the Catholics changed scripture to prove their lies as truth!  According to the Catholic Encyclopedia

The first prophecy referring to Mary is found in the very opening chapters of the Book of Genesis (3:15): "I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed; she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel."

    Compare with the original

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

You see thy changed all references to seed being male, representing Jesus prophesied to crush Satan, to the female to represent Mary! It does not get more deceptive and plainer then that. In this way what scripture applies to Jesus is then twisted and applied to Mary. We know Jesus is sinless and full of grace but we see that these are applied to Mary in the Catholic Church! In this way Jesus attributes come form Mary not from the heavenly Father.

And this is pagan goddess worship. The pagan goddess was derived from Simiramis, the wife of Nimrod. Nimrod started the first world wide false religion which is the beginning of Babylon. Nimrod was killed by Seth and his body torn to pieces as a warning to all. Simiramis claimed that her illegitimate son was Nimrod reborn. In this way the goddess is responsible for the resurrection of Nimrod whom made himself God over the people. When God scrabbled their language each person took their beliefs and continued it in their own nation. Hence the commonality of the pagan religions  become apparent as they all originated from the same source. As Nimrod died and was reborn , this started the Life-death-rebirth deity among the nations. When Christianity came around, instead of converting the pagans to Christians, the Christians became pagan!

So given this, what is next from the Catholic Church. The Heavenly Father is already absent from religious services and replaced with the pope as "Holy Father" (even though forbidden Matthew 23:8-10). Mary is worshipped and mentioned more then Christ, so Mary will increase and Christ will decrease. We see that in the next dogma of Mary as "Co-Redemptrix". This is not yet accepted but will be. The Pope will likely to include all the other Christians to be included bring them back to the Catholic Church. As she is the "Mother" of Harlots and at end-times there will be a one-world religion I expect that all the harlot churches that branched out of the Catholic Church to return back to their Mother. In this dogma Mary becomes the "cause of our salvation" which is the icing of the cake in kicking Jesus out and making Mary goddess with all power and the way of salvation. This is achieved that as Christ suffers on the cross, Mary too suffers watching and as her son dies, she is also as if she died in that way her heart is joined to Christ forever. In this dogma it is not the Father whom gave up her only son (John 3:16) it is Mary whom gave her only son

As the Blessed Virgin Mary does not seem to participate in the public life of Jesus Christ, and then, suddenly appears at the stations of his cross, she is not there without divine intention. She suffers with her suffering and dying son, almost as if she would have died herself. For the salvation of mankind, she gave up her rights as the mother of her son and sacrificed him for the reconciliation of divine justice, as far as she was permitted to do. Therefore, one can say, she redeemed with Christ the human race

And from the words of Pope Benedict himself

Virgin Most Holy, Mother of the Incarnate Word and our Mother, venerated in the Shrine of Sheshan under the title "Help of Christians", the entire Church in China looks to you with devout affection. We come before you today to implore your protection. Look upon the People of God and, with a mother’s care, guide them along the paths of truth and love, so that they may always be a leaven of harmonious coexistence among all citizens.

When you obediently said "yes" in the house of Nazareth, you allowed God’s eternal Son to take flesh in your virginal womb and thus to begin in history the work of our redemption. You willingly and generously cooperated in that work,
allowing the sword of pain to pierce your soul, until the supreme hour of the Cross, when you kept watch on Calvary, standing beside your Son, who died that we might live.

From that moment, you became, in a new way, the Mother of all those who receive your Son Jesus in faith and choose to follow in his footsteps by taking up his Cross. Mother of hope, in the darkness of Holy Saturday you journeyed with unfailing trust towards the dawn of Easter. Grant that your children may discern at all times, even those that are darkest, the signs of God’s loving presence.

Our Lady of Sheshan, sustain all those in China, who, amid their daily trials, continue to believe, to hope, to love. May they never be afraid to speak of Jesus to the world, and of the world to Jesus. In the statue overlooking the Shrine you lift your Son on high, offering him to the world with open arms in a gesture of love. Help Catholics always to be credible witnesses to this love, ever clinging to the rock of Peter on which the Church is built. Mother of China and all Asia, pray for us, now and for ever. Amen!

As you can see the Heavenly Father is being kicked our and replaced with the Mother, as such all the attributes given to Christ by the Father is actually now from the Mother! That’s why this dogma is the icing on the cake. It now removes the Heavenly Fathers role from the Church and replaced with Mary. It is now Mary who offers her son for the world not the Father whom offered his son for the world. The bible warns us true worshipers will worship the Father

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Be warned. Wakeup and see the deception by proving all things (1 Thessalonians 5:21).

    God Bless, In Jesus Name
And ye shall know the truth, and
the truth shall make you free
    John 8:32

  • Sixth Catholic Dogma: Mediatrix

Is the praise that the Catholic Church gives to Mary hold up to scripture? Mary is worshipped as a goddess by the catholic community, however surprising little is said about Mary in the Bible. According to the Catholic Church, they have declared dogmas of Mary elevating her to goddess (don’t believe me, click on the links all from Catholic sources). Let’s examine

    Sixth Dogma: Mediatrix

"This motherhood of Mary in the order of grace continues uninterruptedly from the consent which she loyally gave at the Annunciation and which she sustained without wavering beneath the cross, until the eternal fulfillment of all the elect. Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation . . . . Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix."

Now that Mary is in said to of risen to heaven she now intercedes between the Church and Christ as Mother of us all.  I have already shown that following, which this dogma hinges on, are false

But continuing on we investigate the ramifications of this dogma. The bible declares that there is one mediator between God and Man and that’s Christ.

    1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

According to the Catholic Church they say that this scripture does not discount mediators between Christ and Man but this shows a lack of understanding of the scriptures or a deliberate twisting of Paul’s teaching as warned by Peter (2 Peter 3:15-16). We must ask ourselves, why do we need a mediator?

When we sin, we sin against God and no one else. When David sinned with Bathsheba he said in the Psalms that he has sinned against God and only against him

Psalm 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

As a result of our sin we have been separated from God

Isaiah 59:1-2 Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

When you wrong another person where they don’t talk to you what can one do? Simply, you need a mediator whom the other person, the one you want to reconcile with, will listen to and intercede on your behalf. This is where Christ comes in.

Isaiah 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Jesus died for us so that he may bare our punishment and intercede to the Father on our behalf. We don’t need another intercessor as Christ himself came in the flesh, in person, talking with people one-on-one without an intercessor. Mary did not intercede for him on the earth nor did any one else for that matter thus why is there a need for an intercessor between us and Christ as our sin is against the Father not against Christ. When you understand Christ is the God of the Old Testament (see Divinity of Jesus) he was always the mediator between God and mankind and there never was an intercessor between Christ and man and never will be. For this reason the scriptures tell us to approached the throne with boldness

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

It is no point if Jesus just intercedes to God to cleanse our sins and we keep on sinning. As such we need to stop sinning by changing our hearts. This is done by the new covenant but to understand this we need to go back to ancient Israel with the covenant made with them

Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

Exodus 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

    Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Simply put, Israel was to keep the commandments of God in exchange for God’s blessings to make them a great nation. But there was a problem with this covenant not with God but with man. The scriptures show that man did not have the heart to keep God’s law

Deuteronomy 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

As such God will change the man’s heart from heart of stone to a heart of flesh where the commandments of God instead of written on stone will be written in our hearts. This is done through God’s spirit!

Jeremiah 31:31-33 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

The new covenant is for us to receive God’s Spirit so we can obey God’s law! For this reason Jesus blood had to be spilled. Once Christ has died for our sins he can then give us his Spirit by which the new covenant is in place

Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

John 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

The new covenant is also referred to as the "better covenant" of which Jesus is the mediator of

Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Notice the Old Covenant had a fault but not with God but with the people. For this reason a new one, a better one, was required. This new covenant is better because it offers us forgiveness of sin, the spirit of God to help us keep God’s law and promise of eternal life!

Hebrews 8:7-12 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant.

Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things that that of Abel.

It is by this new covenant we are reconciled to God and presented perfect to the Father!

Colossians 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

So put your trust in Jesus not in the false doctrine of Mary. Jesus and he alone is our mediator and by him and him only we are saved (Acts 4:12).

    God Bless, In Jesus Name
And ye shall know the truth, and
the truth shall make you free

  • Fifth Catholic Dogma: Mother of the Church

Is the praise that the Catholic Church gives to Mary hold up to scripture? Mary is worshipped as a goddess by the catholic community, however surprising little is said about Mary in the Bible. According to the Catholic Church, they have declared dogmas of Mary elevating her to goddess (don’t believe me, click on the links all from Catholic sources). Let’s examine

Fifth Dogma: Mother of the Church

Since the Virgin Mary's role in the mystery of Christ and the Spirit has been treated, it is fitting now to consider her place in the mystery of the Church. "The Virgin Mary . . . is acknowledged and honored as being truly the Mother of God and of the redeemer.... She is 'clearly the mother of the members of Christ' . . . since she has by her charity joined in bringing about the birth of believers in the Church, who are members of its head." "Mary, Mother of Christ, Mother of the Church."

In this dogma the Catholic Church Mary plays a role in the "mystery of Christ" and "mystery of the Church" but what is this mystery. You might be surprised that the bible does speak of a mystery concerning Christ and the church but no where in that mystery is Mary or the Mother-Son relationship is mentioned instead it is concerned about Husband-Wife relationship. In fact out of all the mysteries spoken in the bible this one is call the "great mystery"

Ephesians 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

A great mystery it is! It is a mystery as the world including what people call Christianity doesn’t know it. When is the last time your church has talked about this?

Ephesians 5:22-32 is known as marriage chapter but Paul says it’s a "great mystery" about Christ and the church. Is God married to his church and what does that mean?

God often uses the principle of duality in his word and teaching. This simply means that it has a twofold meaning often a physical and spiritual meaning as seen in this example.

The relationships mentioned in Ephesians 5:22-32 are summarized below

The chapter continues to say that the Husband to love your Wife as you love yourself as Christ loved the Church and gave up his life for it. Note this is the greatest love one can give:

John 15:13 The greatest love you can have for your friends is to give your life for them.

Just as it says in Genesis when God created Adam and Eve and declared them Husband and Wife they are one as God and the Church are one!

Genesis 2:24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united with his wife, and they become one.

Being one simply means being on the same team, having one mind. In a disordered organization there is a saying "Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing". When the Lord says "we are one" means we are all on the same team and in agreement. This is clearly portrayed in Paul’s teaching that we are of the same body just like the ear and the eye or the hand and the foot. As the parts of the human body do not argue with each other but simply work together in perfect unison to perform the same common goal!

1 Corinthians 12:12-17 Christ is like a single body, which has many parts; it is still one body, even though it is made up of different parts. In the same way, all of us, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether slaves or free, have been baptized into the one body by the same Spirit, and we have all been given the one Spirit to drink. For the body itself is not made up of only one part, but of many parts. If the foot were to say, "Because I am not a hand, I don't belong to the body," that would not keep it from being a part of the body. And if the ear were to say, "Because I am not an eye, I don't belong to the body," that would not keep it from being a part of the body. If the whole body were just an eye, how could it hear? And if it were only an ear, how could it smell?

This is the marriage covenant between God and Church which also existed between God and Israel. Before Babylon conquered the kingdom of Judah, God raised up a prophet Jeremiah whom prophesied to the people of the up-coming disaster in 40 years. Jeremiah told the people that God is married to them, they being his wife and when they strayed from the Lord they are like a wife cheating on her husband, like a prostitute!

Jeremiah 3:6 The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the unfaithful .

Jeremiah 3:14  Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married to you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

Jeremiah 3:20 But like an unfaithful wife, you have not been faithful to me. I, the LORD, have spoken."

Bible tells us we a children of God but goes further and says we are heirs of God and to become like Christ hence of the same body! Not only heirs but JOINT-HEIRS!!!!

Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

1 John 3:2-3 My dear friends, we are now God's children, but it is not yet clear what we shall become. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he really is. Everyone who has this hope in Christ keeps himself pure, just as Christ is pure.

Hence why even Jesus called us gods (See The Divinity of Jesus)!

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

Jesus told his disciples that they are no longer servants but friends and everything he has is theirs and everything they have is his but funny enough disciples have nothing and Jesus has everything!

John 15:15 I do not call you servants any longer, because servants do not know what their master is doing. Instead, I call you friends, because I have told you everything I heard from my Father.

John 16:15 All that my Father has is mine; that is why I said that the Spirit will take what I give him and tell it to you

John 17:10  All I have is yours, and all you have is mine; and my glory is shown through them

Currently as Christians we believe in Christ and his salvation from sin and eternal death. But we are not yet "one with Christ" we are only considered as children of God! When Christ appears we will become "like him" (1 John 3:2)! This is the great mystery that when Christ appears we are to become like Christ, Spiritual perfect beings, born into the family of God hence one with Christ of the same body! This is said plainly below:

1 Corinthians 15:50-54  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Note the last trumpet mentioned above is the seventh trumpet in the Book of Revelation which ushers in the return of Christ. This trumpet fulfils the mystery of God and declares his servants the prophets!

Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets

Note flesh can never see the kingdom of God only the spirit can so we must be born again of the spirit. This is what it means to be born again, a spiritual birth with a new spiritual body where we become children again. Just like children entering this world so we shall be seeing the spiritual world for the first time learning again a new world even a new language.

John 3:5-6 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.

Notice in Jeremiah 3:14 above we see God is selecting his people, the faithful among the unfaithful "I will take you one of a city, and two of a family".  God is hand picking people after his own heart to start a kingdom of God.

John 15:16  You did not choose me; I chose you and appointed you to go and bear much fruit, the kind of fruit that endures. And so the Father will give you whatever you ask of him in my name.

John 6:64-65 Yet some of you do not believe." (Jesus knew from the very beginning who were the ones that would not believe and which one would betray him.) And he added, "This is the very reason I told you that no people can come to me unless the Father makes it possible for them to do so."

Even the ancient nation of Israel was chosen by God.

Deuteronomy 7:6  For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

This purpose of hand-picking his people is to build a holy nation a "City on a hill". This simply means a city that is an example to the world hence it is on a hill so all can see it and be drawn to it. This is no different to today; if a city sees another city doing a great job in its design (e.g. no traffic problems, no crime, environmentally friendly etc) cities will strive to be like that city. So the same with Gods Kingdom, it will be a perfect city of perfect moral and ethical standing living in perfect unity. When other cities see this city they will strive to be like it.

Isaiah 2:2  And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Micah 4:2  And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Matthew 5:14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

Exodus 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

In book of Revelation, John sees the Revelation of Jesus Coming in there he sees he is already a priest in the kingdom of God:

Revelation 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Before Christ returns the Church will be ready for him to return, ready for the marriage with Christ where they become one with Christ

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

This mystery has been kept secret from the beginning; even the angels desire to understand this mystery.

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

1 Peter 1:12  God revealed to these prophets that their work was not for their own benefit, but for yours, as they spoke about those things which you have now heard from the messengers who announced the Good News by the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. These are things which even the angels would like to understand.

The great evil of this dogma is to conceal the real meaning and substitute this great truth with a lie (Romans 1:25). The marriage covenant between God and his true Church (the people of God) is that, as wife, remain faithful to Jesus by keeping all the commandments (Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14) of God. The Harlot is the unfaithful wife those of the false Church (Revelation 17:5-6) whom teach the Babylonian religion in disguise of a false form of Christianity. The Catholic Church (The MOTHER of HARLOTS) and her daughter churches (those that broke away from the Catholic Church including Protestants, Church of England) do not keep Gods Commandments but teach lawlessness by saying the law is done away with. This is not inline with the bible, consider the following verses
    • Jesus teaches to obey even the least of the commandments (Matthew 5:19)
    • Jesus tells the religious teachers are breaking Gods Law by keep their traditions) Mark 7:7-8)
    • Jesus equates love of him to keeping the commandments (John 14:15, John 15:10)
    • Paul teaches that keeping the commandments is what matters the most (1 Corinthians 7:19)
    • John says that anyone that says they love Jesus but do not keep the commandments are liars! (1 John 2:3-4)
Nowhere in the bible does it teach that the law is done away with instead God’s true church keep the commandments of God, every word from Old Testament to the New Testament. For more information see "The New Covenant: Does It Abolish God's Law?"

  • Forth Catholic Dogma: Assumption of Mary

Is the praise that the Catholic Church gives to Mary hold up to scripture? Mary is worshipped as a goddess by the catholic community, however surprising little is said about Mary in the Bible. According to the Catholic Church, they have declared dogmas of Mary elevating her to goddess (don’t believe me, click on the links all from Catholic sources). Let’s examine

    Forth Dogma: Assumption of Mary

By the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and by our own authority, we pronounce, declare, and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma: that the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory..

Simply put Mary upon her death entered heaven. This dogma mentions the other three dogmas 1) Immaculate [Conception] 2) Mother of God 3) ever Virgin as if it gives it give it more creditability. Thus she fulfilling these 3 dogmas in her life is now in heaven. It goes further...

Having overcome death, she might be taken up body and soul to the glory of heaven where, as Queen, she sits in splendor at the right hand of her Son, the immortal King of the Ages

Finally it is our hope that belief in Mary's bodily Assumption into heaven will make our belief in our own resurrection stronger and render it more effective.

She supposedly sits at the right hand of Christ as Queen and strengthens our belief of resurrection. That’s a handful and there are so many things wrong with this it is difficult to start.

Firstly, when one dies the soul is in a state of sleep. It awaits the resurrection so the false concept you go to heaven or hell when you die is straight out wrong and in fact its roots are in paganism. The bible says it clear that a soul is in a state of sleep in death:
    • Daniel shows that the dead are they that "sleep in the dust of the earth" and upon resurrection  "shall awake" (Daniel 12:2)
    • The apostles referred to those that died as asleep (1 Corinthians 11:30, 15:51; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16; 2 Peter 3:4)
    • Jesus said he was going to see Lazarus as he is "sleeps; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep". The disciples protested as they feared being killed by the Jews and eventually said "Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well". Then Jesus clarifies and speaks plainly "Lazarus is dead" (John 11:11-13)
    • Jesus taking of a girl that died said plainly "Weep not; she is not dead, but sleeps" (Luke 8:52)
    • Solomon says "living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing". Thus the dead are not conscious (Ecclesiastes 9:5)
    • Only the living and not the dead can worship the Lord (Isaiah 38:18-19)
Secondly the idea that the soul goes to heaven is of pagan origin. The Pagans looked at the stars and saw different levels of chaos starting with the stars moving in perfect mathematical harmony then seven stars which move erratically in the night sky with increasing unpredictability the closer they are to the earth of which is where complete chaos rules. These stars they called "wandering" in the Greek which is Planet and these seven are the ones they can see with the naked eye. As they believed the earth was the center of the universe they were unable to explain the movement of these planets. So they concluded that our soul must lift up to the heavens where the outer most heaven is perfection thus it need to goes through stages of purification. This is usually done by denying yourself the pleasures of this world and pursing knowledge so it will make your soul lighter and in the next life it will traverse through the layers of heaven. If you don’t then your soul will get demoted and return back as a woman or an animal or go to the depths of this earth as they believed the soul was immortal it must go somewhere.

Funny enough the Catholic Church teaches an immortal soul even though the bible says the exact opposite. According to the Catholic Church

"Man, though made of body and soul, is a unity". The doctrine of the faith affirms that the spiritual and immortal soul is created immediately by God.

What does the bible then say on this matter?
    • The soul that sin dies (Ezekiel 18:4)
    • Jesus own mouth states that the soul can be killed and it dies in hell (Matthew 10:28)
    • Revelation shows us that Hell is the "second death" (Revelation 20:14)
When you piece all the scriptures on a topic it is so much clearer. The bible is teaching us these simple truths
    • The soul is mortal thus can die
    • The physical death of a person where the body dies and the soul sleeps. This is the first death
    • The soul sleeps until resurrection (the second resurrection is for all those that died not truly knowing Christ, included most of tradition Christianity today. There they will get a chance to know him)
    • The spiritual death of a person is where the soul dies by fire from God
Hell is created for Satan and the demons not for man (Matthew 25:41)! With this understanding hell is not where men are tortured forever and ever instead man is devoured by fire so their existence is no more thus it is the real death or as the bible calls it the second death! You see, for men to be tortured for ever they have to become immortal and eternal life is a gift and not given accept Christ (Romans 6:23). Notice this in the Satan final rebellion where men and Satan are together both will suffer different fate. The men are killed by fire from God thus are no more (Revelation 20:9, Malachi 4:3) and the devil joins the rest of the demons in Hell (Revelation 20:10).

Thirdly, you don’t go to heaven. Instead heaven comes to us. Upon Christ return his kingdom is setup up under heaven on the earth not in heaven. The bible states
    • Jesus will be on the earth again (Zechariah 14:4)
    • Jesus will be the new King of this earth (Zechariah 14:9)
    • Saints will be given cities and nations to rule over (Luke 19:15-19)
    • The nations will worship Jesus in Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:17, Micah 4:1-4)
    • The nations will turn their weapons of war to tools used for farming nor learn about war anymore (Isaiah 2:4, Micah 4:1-4)
After the 1000 years there is a new heaven and earth of which the "new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven" to the earth (Revelation 21:2)! Then God the Father will dwell with us on the earth (Revelation 21:3)!

So this dogma as you can see is pagan to its core. It goes back to pagan goddess worship inspired by Satan himself. It teaches many false hoods of going to heaven or hell, of immortal soul. The fact that they call Mary Queen of Heaven shows its pagan roots (Jeremiah 7:18).

  • Third Catholic Dogma: Immaculate Conception

Is the praise that the Catholic Church gives to Mary hold up to scripture? Mary is worshipped as a goddess by the catholic community, however surprising little is said about Mary in the Bible. According to the Catholic Church, they have declared dogmas of Mary elevating her to goddess (don’t believe me, click on the links all from Catholic sources). Let’s examine

    Third Dogma: Immaculate Conception
When I first read the title I expected this to be about Jesus miraculous birth but in fact and to no great surprise it is about Mary’s miraculous birth?

In the Constitution Ineffabilis Deus of 8 December, 1854, Pius IX pronounced and defined that the Blessed Virgin Mary "in the first instance of her conception, by a singular privilege and grace granted by God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the human race, was preserved exempt from all stain of original sin."

This simply states that Mary is sinless. This false dogma is built upon another false dogma of original sin

The formal active essence of original sin was not removed from her soul, as it is removed from others by baptism; it was excluded, it never was in her soul. Simultaneously with the exclusion of sin. The state of original sanctity, innocence, and justice, as opposed to original sin, was conferred upon her, by which gift every stain and fault, all depraved emotions, passions, and debilities, essentially pertaining to original sin, were excluded. But she was not made exempt from the temporal penalties of Adam -- from sorrow, bodily infirmities, and death.

The concept of original sin is false in the first place. It states that sin of Adam is passed down hereditary to their descendants so we are all born in sin. This concept shows how little they know about sin. Sin is simply the breaking of God’s law (1 John 3:4) and a child does not know what is right or wrong as a child does not know the law. Paul stated if there is "no law" there is "no sin" (Romans 4:15) and Jesus showed our sin is according to our knowledge (John 15:22). When we know the law and we break it we become sinners but a child does not know the law so cannot be labeled a sinner.

The scriptures show Joseph and Mary went to the temple to offer sacrifices for sin. It states in the "days of her purification according to the law of Moses" came they went to "offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons" (Luke 2:22-24). This custom is described in Leviticus 5:6-9 as for a sin offering. This is a strange custom to perform for a sinless woman?

The bible clearly states all have sinned (Romans 3:23) except Jesus but even then he became sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21) that we may be reconciled back to God through Jesus sacrifice (2 Corinthians 5:19, John 14:6)!

Notice when Jesus was called "good teacher" he responded as "none is good, save one, that is, God" (Luke 18:18-19). This shows simply that the attributes of Jesus are that of the Father and that the heavenly Father was the source of the goodness. The Catholic Church has labeled Mary "full of grace" when in fact it is Jesus who is "full of grace" (John 1:14). As for Mary it says "Hail, you that are highly favoured" (Luke 1:28) not "full of grace" as claimed by the Catholic Church.

There is a clear and obvious deception here that the Catholic Church is trying to label Mary with the characteristics of Jesus. The focus of Jesus should not be on the earthly realm but of the heavenly realm as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:47 "the second man [Jesus] is the Lord from heaven" so why is there such great focus on Mary? Goddess worship is wide spread throughout the pagan world which goes back to the first Babylon setup by Nimrod and Simiramis and is still alive in the Catholic Church. Do some research and see where the common origins of the pagan goddess Astarte (Cyprus), Diana (Ephesus and throughout Asia Minor), Cybele (Asia Minor), Isis (Egypt), Aphrodite, Ceres (Greece), Venus or Fortuna (Romans), Shingmoo (China), Disa (Scandanavia), Nutria (Etruscans), Virgo-Paritura (Druids), Isi or Indrani or Devaki (India).

So from the false doctrine of original sin, the Catholic Church needed to come up with another dogma to say Mary was not born in sin then carry that notion throughout her life to say she was sinless till her death. This is a great deception as this will lead to the attributes of Jesus been credited from his mother and not from his heavenly Father i.e. Jesus is sinless and full of grace because Mary is sinless and full of grace not because the heavenly Father is sinless and full of grace.
